We’ve all heard about the global candidate shortage but what plans have you got for when you have that new starter and you’re trying to onboard them as quickly and effectively as possible.
We’ve been speaking to a number of our customers who are using our PresentIT products to create training videos and how to guides to improve the way they’re teams and customers are using both their internal and external platforms and also sticking QR codes on the side of equipment that loads a video guide when scanned by a phone.
Its quick and easy to do and the benefits to you are manyfold. Some of you are creating the videos to increase performance, improve your customers ability to self-serve training on your platform thereby improving the likelihood of them maximising their ROI on products you’ve sold them and reducing your time spent training them or answering queries and increasing the ramp up time of a new starter.
One of the things I’ve found interesting is how customers are deciding how to use longer training videos showing a full process or shorter videos that can be linked to at any time to give instructions on how to complete an individual task. Due to online and social media we now consume content in a different way so I would generally lean towards shorter more targeted video but it depends on the outcome you’re trying to achieve.
